This is a day of rather mixed emotions for me. Seven years ago, my Grandpa passed away from a bowel obstruction/medical malpractice, so it's not an easy thing to reflect on. I would like to wish everyone a Happy Memorial Day! It is so important to pay tribute to those who have fought in past wars, to those fighting today, and especially to those who have lost their lives defending their countries. Today is my Grandpa's birthday, he would have been 97 years old had he lived. Unfortunately he died senselessly in the hospital because the surgeon refused to operate on him to repair a bowel obstruction! It was a very traumatic event and still haunts me to this day.
