Caution! Blogging Teens!

*surfaces from City of Shadows and lame class projects for a moment*

I'm going to be finished with CoS in a week, max! *pumps fist Napoleon-Dynamite style*

The whole March 19 goal wasn't working for me, considering I can only go without sleep for so long. But I'm pretty sure the first draft will be finished by the beginning of spring break. I'm estimating it'll clock in at around 75,000 words. Which is significantly shorter than Firebrand. Which is good, I think. Because Firebrand is a monster.

In other news, I'll be posting from time to time at Teens Writing for Teens - a brand new group blog for teen writers. Long story short, I'm a member of a great writing website called Absolute Write, which is where I went over and over and over again to ask questions about how to format query letters and where to find agents, etc. etc. On this writing site I ran into a few other under-20 young writers who were also panicking about agents and query letters (etc. etc.) and after a few months of asking each other questions and sharing our frustrating and exciting experiences....

There is now a blog.

I'll be posting on this blog now and then with random advice and author interviews and examples of really bad query letters (*cough*myown*cough*)...stuff like that.

Feel free to check it out. Comment. Send us hate mail. It really doesn't matter.
