Flying Kites!!!
Curve balls, curve balls, curve balls!!! life has thrown some of those lately...but All will work out and be fine...AMEN! so i had a wonderful time last week in oxford for seminars. love me some seminars! while i wasnt furthering my education, i was hanging with some dear pals. wed night i got there, i went to dinner with my girl from california, Allison. we had such a good time catching up. we hit up supertan where all my former co-workers told me how white i was and that i needed to get my ass back in the tanning bed. they're so blunt. after that i met up with b and we chilled for the rest of the evening. i slept like a baby that night. compliments of a third friend that was there! thursday was seminar 1. i quickly learned that not everyone was enjoying their field placement like i was. boy am i thankful. well after that intense training, i met up with b and we got the crazy idea to fly kites. (drae and mdale for life). it didnt work out all that well but it was def fun seeing b run his ass off trying to fly it. we had all intentions of going out that night but we decided to take a cat nap that turned into a long nap and me waking up bitching about how its now 10:30 and he's ruined my life. haha. day 2 of seminars was alright. that night i went out with my girl allison on the square. we had so much fun!!! haha!!! so much. we danced our ass off to 17th floor and had a great time. the weekend was cool despite the icy weather. we all made the best out of it. i finally checked back into the real world on monday morning as i drove back to work. the week has been pretty cool. but oh wednesday was so stressful. there's been 2 patients that i have really gotten to know and work with and this week they both passed away. so i was a bit low and trish knew how to cheer me up. we went shopping on our lunch break and then we headed to clarksdale. it was 5pm when we finally left that city and 5pm is usually when im heading home. so i was drained and pissy as we approached the tunica exit. i made a comment about us stopping into horseshoe for a bit and trish took me up on the offer. so in 30min i lost 50 bucks which sucked but was well work it. i mean...who goes gambling after work with their supervisor. it was so much fun. well anyways i think my coffee break is over, so i need to head back to work. you can find me out in memphis tonight with beth. we have decided that we deserve a couple drinks. oh its good to be back home with some damn good people from the past. oh and f the curve balls....haha...kt
