Hola mi amigos and amigas. Sitting on Jeff's couch, watching the dogs chew bottle caps and comtemplating going home to do some laundry before work tonight. Bleck. I love Mondays because I have Sundays off and Mondays feel good. I actually had a good weekend for once in a long while. Well, not too long of a while because I had a blast in Chi-town a few weeks past when I was reunited with Jersir, Bard, Greg, Borch, King, Stroh the Homewrecker, Bianca and Dusty. Let me tell you, that was a trip and a half. I didn't expect to see some of those guys ever again. Wow, I loved it!! We partied hard all night long then Dusty and I shopped til we dropped the next day whilst walking the town. I love that city, but while I was considering moving there, I'm reconsidering now. I just dont' think cold cities are for me. My sights are set on more warmer settings for now. But then again, maybe that's because the chilly season is coming upon us. Anyways, back to this weekend. Now that I'm on a strict med regimen I can drink again. Friday, after the longest work week EVER, I went bowling with the MG crew. I worked my way up to one a half draft beers. Woo hoo. I also beat Jeff at bowling and won myself 4 beautiful back massages that I can redeem at any time. Yess!!! Then Saturday I worked the am shift, went to a BC football game, house sit for a bit, then went out to Peppers to see a kick ass band with Jeff, his roomie and his gf for her bday and worked my way up to two and a half beers. It was good times. No headaches involved. Sunday it was the usual suspects- Jeff's crew plus the dogs, the Colts game, poker, some Yahtzee, Family Guy (repeat, but a good one) a few hours of Law and Order, and lots of sleep. Now here I sit reflecting on a good weekend of fun, one well deserved. Work has been exhausting. We are low in numbers at work. We're all busting ass and making tons of flow, but its rough. I had an awesome job interview last week, which I hope pans through. I interviewed at the Hamilton County Probation department for their new Youth Center that opens in January. I'll hear back this week if I get a 2nd interview but they aren't making any final decisions until November 6th so that's when I'll let you know if I'll be done serving :) I'm not sure if I'll be school counseling any time soon. I'm still jaded by the school system after Clay's shenanigans. Tera and I are still really close (my supervisor from last year). We're teaching a girl power workshop in two weeks. She hates her job and tells me every day to run for my life. Its become so political. It's such a bummer when something that involves so much heart becomes something so ugly. I hope it isn't like that everywhere.
Well that's about it for now. I'm doing pretty well for now. I'm happy. My head is under control, which is the main thing for now. Max is awesome. Jeff is very awesome. And the cheerleaders are always awesome. Wish me luck in the interview world. Focker out.
