Namaste. I watched "Jesus Christ Superstar" this past Saturday. It was amazing. Now, I didn't really like the story or how they changed things. But I loved the music, especially the amazing singing. Judas and Jesus were both amazing. Beyond amazing. Absolutely incredible. So I am now listening to a borrowed copy of Mat's JCS soundtrack. It's my new favourite, for the time being. I should buy the dvd.
Anyway, I've had a good past week or so. Loads of frisbee playing and not loads of practicing. That should probably become reversed sometime soon, but the weather has been soooo beautiful. And I do so enjoy my music friends. And so I've prioritized having fun over getting work done. For right now, I think having fun during college will benefit me more in the long run. I've decided I don't want to look back on these years and regret all the things I could have done.
Makes me think of Saturday. In honor of the late, great Hunter S. Thompson, we had a memorial party at my friend's house. We watched "Where the Buffalo Roam" and "Fear and Loathing". Quite a bit of fun. My first real college bash. I plan that many more will follow. ^_~
So, I have rehearsal tonight. This weekend is the weekend of Faure's Requiem. Three performances and two dress rehearsals in the next 6 days. I am really excited. This music is so incredibly wonderful that I can't put it into words. I get such a charge when I sing it, and yet it is so relaxing. An absolute release of tension and emotion. Speaking of which, I need to schedule another massage. My shoulders have been killing me, and for no good reason. Drat it all. ^_^
Shalom.
