In continuation of my last entry, I'm going to delve into my own beliefs--a very tentative pool of thoughts, indeed. I'm still confused about basically everything spiritual, and, at any point in time, I'm willing to change my beliefs for something that makes more sense to me. That doesn't happen too often, but it still does, so don't be surprised if, one month from now, I'm thinking about other possibilities.
Anyway, here goes...
I believe in a Higher Conscious--God, if you want to call It that. This massive composite of spiritual energy is within and around every living thing on this Earth, and inspires the growth of new life. It doesn't act as a single conscious mind. It is many minds, combined together into One. I guess it's kind of like how a brain works: the brain controls things around it and causes things to happen, but it's made up of billions of neurons and other various parts that each serve individual purposes. Therefore, I do not believe that a man-like being is sitting on a throne somewhere in Heaven, listening to and caring about every little thing that happens on Earth. In my opinion, there is no single-conscious being. This Higher Conscious is in everything, like I've already said. Life goes on. People make their own decisions. There is no such thing as destiny or fate--only consequences. People make things happen--not a god of any sort. If anything, the whole concept of Mother Nature is closer to what I'm saying than anything else.
As for what I believe happens after death, I believe that a person's spiritual energy is recycled. Think back to the Lion King: the Circle of Life. That's what I'm talking about. Science explains the same thing. My beliefs just take into account the fact that there is a spiritual side to things. Ghosts, demons, angels, and gods are humans' explanations for occurrences that they do not understand. For the spirits that people do see (I've seen things myself that I cannot explain), these could be remnants of spiritual energies from lifeforms that have died. Most of the time, the things that people see look like humans--hence the title "ghost." I believe that, above most other animals, humans are the most common spiritual energies that tend to stick around, simply for the fact that they have a higher consciousness than other animals. It's scientifically proven. And--who knows? Maybe there really are spiritual forms that are in no way related to humans or any other animal. They're just spirits. Some are more well-behaved than others. Some are mischievous or straight-out bad.
But, I have to get ready to leave, so if I think of anything more significant, I'll add it later. ^_^
