Finished Astro Boy, like, 5,000 years ago. Man, that was kind of... a hard core lesson in tolerance. I kind of want to buy the DVDs just so if there are ever small children being raised in my house I can make them watch it.
After that I read the 3rd Harry Potter book for no reason other than the movie was playing on TV. And because I love Sirius and Remus. I thought about reading some of the other books again but then remembered that Harry swiftly becomes a dumbass and there is not enough Moony plus Padfoot shenanigans to make up for it. Which was fine because Ted has been sad that no one has caught up in Wheel of Time so he has no one to talk to about it.
So then I spent about 2/3 weeks reading the two most recent Wheel of Time books. Let me just explain how FUCKING INSANE it is that I finished these books in about 10 days each. These books take me months to read, they are all around 1,000 pages and sometimes it can get downright boring. The Gathering Storm was definitely NOT boring, holy cow. Towers of Midnight, uhhh, not that great, but Gathering Storm; all of the fantastic. Though, admittedly, now I'm kind of pissed that I caught up because now I have to wait till probably next year to read A Memory of Light. Everything I remembered about the series through reading those books is going to be forgotten again XD I am thinking of reading the entire series again, but that is kind of a huge commitment. At the very least I'm going to distract myself with other things before I actually do something like that.
AFTER THAT I forgot Portal 2 doesn't come out until next week so I needed something to hold me over until then. I went out got Sonic the Hedgehog for PS3 AND SWIFTLY RETURNED IT HAHAHA. Was not about to put up with that game for a whole week, so once my brother and I finally managed to make it through every multiplayer stage available (stage 2 took us 30 minutes guys. We almost gave up.) I took it back. Came home with Sonic Colors.
I DON'T KNOW IF ANYONE IS AS SLOW AS ME WITH THIS SHIT, BUT IF YOU'VE BEEN PUTTING OFF BUYING SONIC COLORS, IDK WTF YOU ARE WAITING FOR. It's downright fantastic. Beautiful, of course, wonderful controls, stage layouts that make all the sense in the world. I'm particularly fond of the switching between 3D and 2D planes, it completely eliminates the need to complain about camera angles, which is my complaint for every single platformer I've ever played. (KH included) I'm about half way through which, of course, means I'm pretty stuck. The difficulty has been steadily increasing and I'm no better at video games than when I first tried playing a sonic game when I was 7. The Wisp planet has been slowly trying to destroy my soul. The water planet is, of course, the bane of my existence and I haven't even come close to drowning yet. (The idea alone makes me groan.) The asteroid coaster world scares me in ways I cannot properly explain other than "These shenanigans are fucking terrifying." But I would really like to try and make it through this game. As dumb as the story my be, I'm really enjoying the cut scenes. I've had to watch them all twice because the jokes in Japanese and the jokes in English are so vastly different but both still amusing in their own right.
Aaaaaand THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN DOING WITH MYSELF. Went to Disneyland with my brother yesterday. He leaves for Japan tomorrow. After that I am home alone for the week because my parents are on vacation. (Thus the need for something to entertain me) But! I work 4 days! I don't even know what to do with myself, I haven't worked this often since Disneyland! I'm actually starting to dread it lol What as softy I've become.
