Patience of Another Kind

Today has been a good day. And, like most caregivers for toddlers, I classify a good day as a day in which there have been no major meltdowns, no tantrums, no sassing, no "because I said NO" discussions. Love this post. I think it's something I need to learn with my eight month old. I feel like 'good' days, i.e., days wherein she's not whiny, clingy, teething and making me pull my hair out, should be the norm. I think I need to adjust expectations that they aren't and won't be the norm.

I hear you! It does get better, though. Really! You start to have more and more...well, hours...of peace and good stuff. As communication grows, and you get past some of the bursts of frustration, you'll feel more at ease. Except for the hard days. And, really, we all have those (seriously, I've had days where I wanted to throw myself down in a tantrum!).

Haha, AMEN. By this point, I have to really fight against the "I'm tired, do whatever" that hits around 3 p.m. :D
