How can doing nothing but lying in a dentist's chair for half an hour be so exhausting? I nearly didn't make it out of there on my own two legs.
On the plus side, my teeth are now the cleanest they've ever been. On the minus side, eww, blood tastes a lot like blood. Well, better get used to that taste anyway, I guess. Also, dust. *is covered by a fine layer of it* (I didn't want a full-face mask - keeping panic attacks away with a horrid plastic thingy in my mouth was enough work as is.) I've tasted better things than a combination of blood and something that tastes a lot like limestone dust.
Extraction & stuff the day after tomorrow. I can't say I'm looking forward to it.
I didn't have a single word of work today. Meh. Friday wasn't much better, although a little. I'm actually hoping for work tomorrow...
I managed to write something for that SP short story competition (and submitted it) yesterday. It wasn't very good, really, and I realised that 500 words is really very little to try and fit a story into, but I think I'll manage to deal with not winning anything if I've at least tried - better than not even being able to participate, anyway. Tried to avoid turning it into Valduggery, although I suspect it might still have ended up a bit risqué anyway... although not that much more than the various innuendos we've had in the books.
Watched some swallows for a while in the morning... I have a feeling they're planning to nest right above our kitchen balcony, between the metal thingy above our window and the bottom of the edge of the balcony above. It's rather awesome to be able to just stand and watch swallows fly by half a metre away. The cats rather liked it, too ... haven't seen them so "bird!!! gimme bird!!!" for years. Hah. Well, they can watch but they can't get to the birdies.
Hungry. Should probably eat something, but that means having to get up.
