So after having spent pretty much my entire life pretty much not having a job... pretty much (except for a few cleaning gigs and two very, very short-lived stints), I'm finally employed! I'll be working for our church doing some cleaning as needed, possibly even some running around shopping for and maybe preparing some food. So it's part-time work that isn't going to be constant, which is even better since that will mean time to write and work on my poseable plushes. As for whether or not I'll still be able to volunteer at the shelter is up in the air. I should still be able to, but if it turns out both work and volunteering are getting in the way of writing and plush-making then I may had to tone down my volunteering - that is, come in when I can (which wouldn't be a big deal as I've been kind of, sort of wanting to not volunteer as much. I'd still like to come in and pet cats, though, and I'm still most definitely going to foster. I'm just tired of having the crap beat out of my legs by overly exicted isolation dogs who don't know the meaning of the words "stop jumping on me!" Some of them dogs have huuuuge paws).
I'm just so dang excited! I'll have my own money! I'll finally be able to open a checking account rather than relying on savings? I might finally be able to afford an editor!
2017 is being absolutely awesome thus far.
