It's awfully quiet around here....
So here it is, 5:10AM. I've been here at Medic 91 since 11, and have done a whole lot of nothing. Well, not exactly nothing.....did a bunch of paperwork and half an exam, but no calls. Didn't do any calls last night, either. That's not good.
We have a certain amount of advanced procedures we have to perform in the next couple months, and a certain number of hours we have to put in. Hours are easy to get - you just schedule them and show up, and that's that. Procedures are a whole different deal. We need different amounts of various things like IVs, intubations, and assessments. No calls = no procedures = bad. Hopefully this slow streak will end soon. Well, I'll give it a week, I'm not back here til the 16th. I'm in Malvern next week, on Monday night, but the rest of the week is actually pretty slow, and all hospital time.
Today is going to be a long day, still have to go to work after this, and then do some stuff afterwards. Sleep is for the weak.
