Upcoming Summer 2009 DVDs

I was thinking / planning to add the likes of Wolverine, Terminator Salvation and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen to my DVD collection. But it seems only Transformers has a Two Disc Special Edition. Wolverine is one disc, unless you count the bonus disc on Play.com (just one 30 minute featurette on that).

What happened to the days when YOU could expect the summers blockbusters to get 2 disc SE's? Hell they don't even bother with DVD-ROM content no more (they usually sucked anyway and no one bothered with them much - hence no new DVD-ROM content).

Still haven't got last years The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor - it is still one disc lacking extras. My The Mummy Legends boxset has two Disc Ultimate Editions for The Mummy and The Mummy Returns. I only expect the crappier lower budgeted movies to have one disc (eg the Resident Evil DVDs).

Not even sure about getting Watchmen. That does have a Two Disc SE (only the theatrical cut). What about the Director's cut?

They start coming out October or November.

Most of my DVDs do end up not being used for ages though. (forget about them, behind TV, no time for them etc)

dvds, watchmen, transformers, resident_evil, terminator, wolverine, shopping, the_mummy, movies
