A friend of a friend posts in her LJ a list of books she reads in a year and I thought it was a neat idea. She aims for 50 but somehow I thought she aimed for 100. Well, I'm my world it's embarrassing because it shows the amount of time I waste doing nothing. I love to read (and don't tend to match up well w people who don't ) and value it in others but for myself if it wasn't during a time I couldn't be or wasn't doing something else it's time I was wasting because I SHOULD have been doing something else more productive. Therefore I need to justify to myself and others all this time I've wasted without accomplishing anything. Of course as a child I was constantly in trouble for reading so reading as a time waster is the only way its been presented to me so its rather embarrassing to show the sheer number of hours (no matter how fast I read) I've wasted
As for your list - hopefully you'll love hunger games. Every one I know who had read it does. And the next Thompson book is on my list too. I like graphic novels but with libraries nor an option they are just to expensive.plus they don't read to me! I haven't gotten to the Thompson book yet because we have a paper copy and I don't have time to read it. Lol
