Reading list
A friend of a friend posts in her LJ a list of books she reads in a year and I thought it was a neat idea. She aims for 50 but somehow I thought she aimed for 100. Embarrassingly, I actually reached 100 (actually probably more but I can only list 100 that I kept track of). I do feel that I should explain that most of my reading time is having my Kindle read to me in the car (min 1 hr a day, at least 5 days a week, usually both more time and more days), reading on my phone during breaks, in lines, and the few min before I fall asleep. I very rarely get to actually just sit down and read - I just apparently read fast in my few min. I also feel like I need to explain that back in High School I'd read more than a book a day so I'm actually down in my numbers, of course back then books WERE my life and now my life is jam packed.
So, with the embarrassed explanations on my high numbers, now I'm on to my embarrassing list. Yes, I've read nothing worthwhile this year. Yes, I'm embarrassed by that. Yes, I had second thoughts about posting my list due to how embarrassing I find it. But I'm posting it anyway in case anyone else wants to read worthless but entertaining and enjoyable popcorn fiction. I think I'm going to have to work to read some more worthwhile stuff this year just so I won't be so embarrassed!

Actually, I was wrong about it all being just worthless popcorn. If you haven't read the Hunger Games series you really should. It's a young adult series but absolutely marvelous and it might already be award winning - or it likely will be soon.
