So I've been thinking. When I turn 21, become a truck driver. The work is hard on the body and the hours are long. Sitting on your ass is hard on every part of your body, from your ass, to legs, to back. And the occasional loading/unloading can hurt you too depending on equipment available. Spending weeks away from home isn't a great thing, but seeing what I do when I'm at home, it really wouldn't matter to me.

The pay is pretty good. I like trucking because it's based on how hard you work. It's not an hourly pay or a salary. If you don't drive the miles, you don't get the pay. I'd be looking at ~$40k after taxes my first year. Compared to starting pay for many other jobs I've looked at, that ain't too bad. There are even a few truckers out there making $100k a year. But they're hauling stuff you don't want to touch with a twenty foot pole, have nothing on their records, and have years of experience.

So, unless something else that interests me comes up, I'll try this. If I don't like it, I'll just stay in it for atleast a year (avoid paying $2000 for cdl schooling) and then move on.

Honestly, I'd really love to go to school. But, I don't know of any job I can get with a college degree that I'd really enjoy doing. So until I find a job I need a degree for, school really isn't in my future.

And I get really tired of hearing, go back to college, from everyone. For what?!?

Going to sleep now for another stupid ass day at a low paying job so I can blow money on my car. Yay.
