I am SO bored, I could... I could.... die from boredom.
*falls over*
see, I'm so bored, my brain won't even function a good enough analogy. and it's not as if my brain's getting fried from all the sun I'm getting, since there HASN'T BEEN ANY the whole time I've been home. today is the nicest day we've had, with completely bi-polar weather-- sun and a strong wind one moment, icy hailstorm the next. gbus.
I've applied for a few jobs. I went back to the mount, but they haven't called yet. one company I applied for called me back, but they wanted me to seel cutco brand knives door-to-door, so that one was a big no. another one called me back that I'm hopeful I'll get... I applied for a summer position in the gift shop at the edgewater hotel, seattle's only waterfront hotel. I think I would love it because (1) it's on the pier, which is one of my favoritest parts of seattle, (2) it's a fancy hotel, and (3) it's a gift shop, so not only would the hours be fair, it wouldn't get a crapload of business or rush seasons like other retail jobs. I hope it all works out.
the gorillaz album is out on tuesday and that delights me. I'm going to buy the special edition version that comes with the dvd. *squee*
I wish people were around... I miss my friends. I want to play. I don't even know how many of them will be around this summer... I wonder what mollie's plans are? I imagine most people are doing things to pursue their future careers, like working internships... not like I can do anything about my choice career by being back in washington, but oh well... (note to self: e-mail internship coordinator at cartoon network.)
I still have no plan for my thesis. but that's one of my to-do's for the summer.
meanwhile, though, I've been a good animation student by checking out a slew out animation books from the library. I'm taking notes on all of them. the one I'm reading right now is "how to write for animation" and covers script-writing. I also have a few storyboarding books. I also want to start collecting copic markers, because I want them for my storyboards, among other things... I figure if I buy 1 or 2 a week I can have quite the collecton by the end of the summer.
also on the book tangent, I need to go buy augusten burroughs' new book, which apparently came out in october, and I've just been missing out this whole time.
maybe I'll go work more on my room. that's another one of my summer projects, remodeling my room and clearing out all the crap I don't need anymore.
fawk!! family guy isn't even on tonight because of friggin' star wars! ARGH. I need family guy to function properly. (note to self: another summer goal = replace my beloved lost family guy dvd.)
well... my boredom is getting the best of me, causing me to ramble incessently on LJ... so I'm gonna go try to clean now.
