V's Journal - Your source for the very latest in sock-y news
Last night marks the completion of sock number two. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the shape, but I will admit that there are quite a few mistakes. Also, I can' seem to graft if my life depended on it. This is going to be a bit if a problem as I have ordered 7 skeins of fake mohair in order to make that Grace sweater. This leaves me with two options. A) a trip to the yarn store for a lesson B) making sad puppy eyes at The Letter L until she teaches me
I choose option B.
In other news, I finally heard from that certain friend I was pouting over. He said he is going to have to spend the rest of his life making up for the fact that he didn't call/write or whatever on my B-day. To be honest, I couldn't be mad at him and I am quite pleased that he isn't angry with me or anything. We talked for a bit and I shared the story about how my mother got attacked by a golf ball while lounging by the pool in Florida. Serves her right for not wearing sunblock. Then I went to my NIA class (we were eagles last night. WTF?), and spent the rest of the night knitting.
I have a Jim Henson themed craft swap coming up on craftster. If anyone could provide me with any ideas on what to make, I would be most grateful. Don;t make me pull out more of those puppy pictures.
