Yesterday was a good day. It started with a phone call from my friend John that more or less epitomizes the difference between my friends at home and my friends at school: "Hey Ben, you're kind of like metrosexual, right? So you'd know where the Urban Outfitters is around here"

After that I went to a Bobcats game with my friends, which worked out well since I could only hang out one night and got to see all of my boys. I'm not a basketball fan at all, but it was something to do, and the stadium is uptown, and it'd been awhile since I'd been around buildings taller than Wren. I hate living in Williamsburg, but I'm afraid if I leave I'll never go back to finish my degree. I went to Barnes and Noble today and read magazines for awhile, which only made me want to go back to England. That's my main goal if you could call it that - just to get a job in England, not even London persay, but just in a city somewhere. Unfortunately I'd have to build up way more capital than I can afford at the moment. Tomorrow is Christmas and I haven't even asked for anything. All I want is for bad things to stop happening. I don't even need good things to happen, just a stop to the bad. When you get down to it, all of mankind is driven by money, and the only opponent is the planet itself, which is driven by forces beyond our control. I need to write more often and try to get something published I guess. Art for the sake of money, it's the modern way.
