If you don't want to do something, there is a problem. Especially when it comes to art. You might enjoy doing it once you start doing it but there is still that nagging little thought deep down that tells you 'i don't really want to do this'.
I think that's been part of my problem with watercolor class lately. I don't feel inspired and I don't want to do it. I don't want to do his stupid assignments.
However, I do want to do this one and I do feel inspired, this may be a good thing. Have to wait and see how it plays out in the end though. He said I might be able to run with this idea later on in the class which will hopefully help if it works out.
I finished reading The God Eaters by Jesse Hijjack, last night. (stayed up later then I should've to finish it), and I enjoyed it. The only thing that threw me off from this book--and it's a little thing--came towards the end. You have these characters that are supposed to be really really old, sort of devine characters. However they are throwing out the word homosexual like it's an every day term. However up until the end of the book the terms 'deviant' or 'unnatural' or 'sodomit' were used instead of homosexual. In my head homosexual is a more modern term that has only really become used in main stream language groups within the last fourty to fifty years. Before that it was only used in scientific journals and known in that community, it's not an old world. I feel especially characters that are hundreds of years old would not be throwing out the world 'homosexual' they would be moer likely to use 'devient' or such. The one acception is the character that's been awake for centuries, I could see him possibly using. However even him... it's hard.
Anyway it was a good book and I would recommend it to anyone looking for something to read. That's really the only little distracting thing that bothered me and it only happens three or four times towards the end really.
But yeah I gotte go or I'm going to be late for work sooo.. Oh yesterday was the perfect first day of October windy and rainy and then it cleared up and was all nice and shiny and cool. Okay gotta run. That's it for now. ;) *poofs out*
