So back when Philip Pullman's trilogy started coming out. I listened to the first two books on audio on a trip down to my Grandparent's house in TN. They were alright but the third book wasn't out at that point. So I've been reading the first for chapters of this book to prepare for the Permacultures course I'm taking at the beginning of next month. The book is, 'The Unsettling of America Culture & Agriculture by Wendell Berry'. So I finally made it through the sequal to 'The Lies of Locke Lamora', and it was good despite the upset in my reading of it during final project rush. Both of these books are great to read. So... I finished reading 'The Mirador' by Sarah Monette tonight. I'm both annoyed with it and at the same time, I think it worked. In terms of balance I suppose, I think on character succeeded where the other failed. While I keep hoping things will pull around I'm not surprised. So I finished reading Scorpio by Mel Keegan a few days ago. I liked it. I think it found a slightly better balance in things then the other two did. Though they had their charm as the beginnings of things.
