well King Kong was much better than i expected, I assumed a 3 hour long movie would drag extraordinarily, but it never got too slow. of course, as is to be expected w/ Peter Jackson's movies, some parts were a little slow- he chooses plots (Lord of the Rings, for example) that have action sequences that easily overshadow the rest of the movie, making plot progression slow up the movie...
this movie was every bit as beautiful a movie as LotR with stunning computer visual effects and beautiful backgrounds, acting was terrific and Naomi Watts is gorgeous as always, Jack Black does a great job as a serious actor, and even the minor characters act very well...
