Most people don't put Batman and Jason Vorhees together, but when you scratch the surface they actually are two sides of the same coin. Think about it. Batman witnessed his parents' murder as a child and it drove him to fight crime and protect others from suffering the same fate. Jason, on the other hand, died as a child in Crystal Lake but many years later witnessed his mother's beheading. This upset him so much that he rose from the grave to become a crazed murderer.
Now the supernatural aspect of Jason rising from the grave to avenge his mother may seem a stark contrast to Batman, whom has always been depicted as one of the more grounded and realistic superheros, BUT let's not lose sight of the fact that one of Batman's arch enemies also has been known to rise from the dead -- Ra's Al Ghoul. So the supernatural does have a place in Batman's world.
The death of Batman's parents led him to protect lives. The death of Jason's mom led him to take lives. On the surface a Batman vs Jason crossover doesn't exactly seem to be a natural. But it's one I'd love to see. I think Batman would view Jason as a kindred spirit having suffered the same kind of loss and would try to rehabilitate him. But I don't think he would succeed in that effort.
Who holds the comic book rights to Friday the 13th these days? Can't they team up with DC and make this happen? We've seen 'Star Trek/Green Lantern', 'Batman/Judge Dredd', and 'Archie/The Punisher'. Surly 'Batman vs Jason' wouldn't be that out of the question, would it?
