"What was I doing a year ago?"

March 27, 2007 - Nothing like a whiplash to end my day.

Aaah. This will be the first time I went to MOA. Haha, how much of a loser am I, going there months after it was opened. Anyway, I went there with my Mom to shop for a dress for the Baccalaureate Mass. I bought one with a whimsical design at Maldita. My mom hated it, but given my stubborn self, I went for it. It could be worn with jeans for a casual look; that's what sold me.

Actually, the main reason why we decided to shop at MOA (other than I have never been there before) was because my mom wanted to watch an event at _________, which was really near MOA. We have two free tickets to the "Di Kita Malimot: Kanta-kanta, Piling Pelikula" music concert. I like watching, plays, musicals, and concerts, so it was fine with me. I'm not a big fan of Filipino movies though, but still I was pretty interested to see how it will go.

So which celebrities made that event worth it for me?
  1. Romnick Sarmenta (Childhood crush guys, childhood crush.  Hahahaha. He was there with his wife, but I don't care. I saw him, yebah.)
  2. Andrew E. (C'mon. I'm sure most of us enjoyed "Humanap Ka ng Panget". And I tell you, when he performed it onstage, I just knew it was going to be my favorite perfomance of the night.)
  3. Mark Bautista (Another secret crush of mine. I know he's not really good-looking, but he just appeals to me. I don't know why. And when I saw him onstage - God! He was hot! Hahahahaha, jologs.)

Other Highlights:
  • Seeing Pilita Corales perform.
  • Seeing Jericho Rosales sing. I liked him before, but then he had to go out with Heart.
  • Finding out that Gerard Anderson is actually cute. Haha. I don't watch local TV, so that will be the first time I saw him, along with Kim Chiu. (Waitaminute, tama ba spelling ng mga pangalan nila even? Haha . . forget it, I don't care.)
  • I actually wanted Sarah Geronimo to come out and sing "Bituing Walang Ningning". But she wasn't there. Pwet. (Highlight na saken yan, since wala nga ko masyadong alam sa local showbiz.)
  • Wala na kong maalala huhuhuhu..

But the trip home was definitely the climax of the day.

We went home after 11pm. Since there weren't a lot of cars on the road anymore, our car was riding pretty fast. My phone just got reconnected then (it was disconnected for few a days prior), so I was busily texting everyone I had to meet at Ateneo the next day. That meant I wasn't paying attention to the road at all, I had no idea what was happening. Apparently, our driver spotted meters ahead of us this poor, drunken man trying to cross the road. He was going forward and back across the street. When it seemed like he was going right and straight to the other side, the driver veered the car to the left to avoid him. But suddenly, the drunken man went left! Since the car was going fast, it would be too late to shift directions. The driver had to abruptly put down the brakes, HARD. I was thrown forward upon the front car seat (as in my face was impaled on the back of the car seat), and the tires made this loud and long screeching sound. Finally, the car stopped. I looked up, and caught a glimpse of the man. But it was only for a split second because . . .

BAAAAAM!!!!!!!

Another car collided with the back our car. It was so hard that I had a frickin' WHIPLASH. In the time that my head went back, I seriously thought my head was never going to go back up again. It stayed in that position for more than a second, involuntarily. That was scary for me. I thought it was permanently damaged. It was just that strong of a collision.

So anyway, my mom and the driver got out and talked with the other car owner. I finally found out about the drunken man who tried to kill us (joke). That man ran and hid the second he heard the collision. Freak-ass. No justice in the world. I am bound to suffer from that whiplash, and the rear door of our car is completely smashed in, while he had a fabulously drunken time. Fantastic.

Anyway. Least I got to see Romnick, Andrew, and Mark. Haha. Besides, I was looking forward to getting my toga and the attending the Blue Roast the next day. Nothing can keep me down.
