Saturday Rewind Part 3 --- Let the FUN Begin!
The show freaking ROCKED!!!!!! I found myself standing up the WHOLE freaking time.
The first song, which was SINGLE/THE ONE (Mash Up), I couldn't really hear. For one it was REALLY LOUD and second, I think the music was a little loud too. I just barely caught that THE ONE was in there. Then the groups kind of went back and for a while. It was way cool to start LTL with the NKOTBSB mix of it! Then NKOTB did a medley of songs. I found myself singing/screaming all of them that I knew! During PDGG, Joey started it as high pitched as he could go, which I knew he couldn't hold but for a few notes. Then towards the end of the song, he stopped out on the end of the "penis stage" and took one of his ear amps out of his ear to listen to us all. Now, I know, they can't hear us real well with the ear amps in, but I know there is a little bleed over from the fans and their personal mixes, but to have Joey actually LISTEN to us scream was cool. Then BSB came out in white and did a set. They actually did 10,000 PROMISES! I LOVE that song! During INBYH they pulled people from the floor to sing to. (DANG I KNEW I should have gotten the floor seats!) And at the end of the song, they dropped the music, got down on one knee and sang acapella to them! *sigh* They ended their set with INCOMPLETE and then NKOTB came out and did another set of oldies, plus a tiny bit of CLICK,CLICK, CLICK. (At some point in one of the NKOTB set, they played "California Love" by 2Pac and Dr. Dre. Just the beginning of it. And they brought the lights up to see the fans!) Also, during this last set too, Donnie took BOTH his ear amps out! I think they really love hearing us. They ended with TONIGHT and for the next piece CLICK HERE because I already wrote it! I actually had to look up what song BRIAN was singing, because I wasn't entirely sure after I realized what was happening. I think it dawned on me once that it was SOMH, but it was quickly gone again. Once they were back on stage, they did a few more songs, including IF YOU STAY! (Somewhere in here they did Prince's "Raspberry Berret." Hubby swears by it. I was too overcome to even notice all the mixing that was going on. So yes hefreak, the song was there.) They ended with QPG and then NKOTB came out and did IBLYF! I was beginning to wonder by this point of BSB was going to IWITW, which they did after NKOTB! And of course, we were so loud singing it, it was AWESOME! The BSB came out in white tank tops, so BRIAN was rocking the tat AND showing just the TIP of his scar. *sigh* Then they all came out and did DTOTL!
Then it was time for the encore! NKOTB came out first and did HT! They were in Celtics jersey's with their names on the back in sequins. Joey looked like he got caught mid change because he didn't get one arm through! Then BSB came out in Magic jersey's with their names on the back. AJ only had his arms through and the rest of his jersey was behind his head. They did EVERYBODY. And "We Will Rock You." Then for the HT/EVERYBODY (Mash Up) they played it like it was a sing-off.
The whole night was love! There was so much going on, I don't even remember all that was sung, said, etc. I do know that when BSB and NKOTB talked about each other, I was in heaven b/c BRIAN and Joey were paired up! They did a really good job with that. AJ and Donnie (the "bad boys"). Nick with the Knight Bros (Jordan and Nick were easily everyone's favs at one point). BRIAN and Joey (the "boys next door"). And Danny and Howie (the "least" fav of everyone -- Not that it matters! They totally rock!). There were so many songs that I loved and knew ALL the words too, it's hard to put down in a blog entry. The show lasted almsot 2.5 hrs! They could've done a 4hr show and I don't think any of the fans would've minded.
One thing the show could have left out was all the pelvic thrusting and crotch grabbing. Just so not into that. And BRIAN really needs to step up to the plate here. He'd been so good about choreography and not doing the pelvic thrust thing until he gets on the road with the New Kids. Now it's like he's a TOTALLY different person! So needs to stop.
Anyway, when we left, I had very little voice and could barely hear anything! More about that later!
