Thanks For Your Patience

So, I'm slightly behind on the lj project... AGH! Skipped a day and then the computer was acting buggy last night, so I shut it down in frustration before I had a chance to write. Booo. At any rate, I think I'm doing quite well, especially comparatively, and so I press on. ;-)
Friday's "Christmas" was fun. Got a #43 Troy Polamalu jersey. I'm pretty damn excited about that one. Pat seemed to really like his sentimental and his "mundane" gifts, so that was also a happy. I even got a USB turntable (to play my vinyl records on, kids!), and now I'll have to orchestrate the return of my records from Dad's house at some point. Sweet.

Saturday was shopping for Vermont-y gifts for Pat's family, and lunch out at Cody's Pub with Mom and Matt. That was some GOOD Irish grub. We stuffed ourselves silly then came home to nap and veg out for a bit. We had another AMAZING dinner (spaghetti and my grandmother's sauce recipe), and then got to head out to visit with Jamien, Logan and Chris for a bit. We watched the end of the Jets/Colts game, and sadly had to turn down an offer of Catan, because it just got too late. Still hoping that we might end up getting to rendez-vous with Jamien and Logan at Al's French Fries for lunch tomorrow, but we may end up on the road as early as 10am, so that we can get home and get settled in before I have to turn in and head back into the daily grind (and RENT auditions) on Tuesday.

Today, Matt, Mom and I "de-frocked" the christmas tree and decorations, then Pat and I headed out to PIZZA PUTT to meet up with Adam Desrochers and almost-4-year-old-Hannah. We had delicious hawaiian pizza for lunch, and then played in the arcade for a little over an hour. We won enough tickets to get Hannah a little monkey mask, that she loved. Hee. Then we said our goodbyes and Pat and I headed downtown to Church street for some ambiance and some coffee from Uncommon Grounds--actually Pat got some excellent Spiced Hot Chocolate (ginger, nutmeg & cayenne) with a shot of espresso (YUM!), and I had a perfectly cinnamon-ed hot apple cider. Adam texted me later on this evening, because he wanted to tell us that Hannah "keeps talking about Pat. She asked the lady at the grocery store if she remembered Pat. When she said no, Hanny said, 'you should meet him. He's nice.' LOL" So yeah, I had another "shut-up-uterus!" kind of afternoon playing and giggling with one of my favorite little girls. :)
So tomorrow's the long journey home. Not looking forward to it, but ready to be home. I know it's hard and stressful for Pat to have to just "blend in" with me and my family for 5 days, so kudos to him for bearing it with grace. I miss my kitty-girl, and I'm ready for life again. Always good to recharge at home in Vermont... I even ran into someone I know from UVM/Stowe/Lyric Theatre (Kevin Collins) while we were shopping in Essex (I LOVE WHEN THAT HAPPENS WHILE I'M HOME)!

But I think it will be lovely to reconnect with my life back home in PA again. I'll check in from work on Tuesday. I think I'll be dead tired tomorrow and hoping for a little computer-less quiet time before work.

Love to LJ-land!
