Ah, if only it could be a PERFECT autumn day like yesterday every single day... It was certainly the most gorgeous day you could have ever asked for as far as Renaissance Faire weather. Pat and I headed over to PA Faire for around 1:30 yesterday, and I was just in disbelief of the lovely sun and glowing fall leaves after a day of pure rainy misery on Saturday! "Capt. Jane Swallow" was certainly in her element, and with the addition of some hard cider, wonderful company, and high spirits, it was just a perfect day. It is sad to have to put my Faire character to rest for another season already, but I couldn't have asked for a better day to go out on!
I'd have loved to stick around until Faire closed (it was just THAT nice), but Pat and I had to run back to be a part of his grandfather's birthday celebration. Being at the birthday dinner just reminded me even more than just our anniversary coming around that Pat and I have now been together for more than a year. Pappy's 75th Birthday party was my first large-scale family event with Pat, and I remember it fondly (though also remembering the utter new-girlfriend-terror at meeting half of his entire family all at once!), but can't believe it's been a year since then!
And it's almost Halloween! Yes... It's almost the 29th birthday... This Saturday. Yikes.
I am commemorating the occassion by cutting most of my long hair off for my costume, and then performing with Delirious Rush (return of Aimee!) at Hilltop Crab House. Doesn't sound like a bad party... I just hope some friends show up. It's tough to have Halloween on a Saturday night... I lose all the FDO people to their Halloween Show and all my actor friends who are lucky enough to be involved in a local performance of RHS as well! So, for all of you who aren't doing the Time Warp again for an audience, come do it with Delirious Rush!
The karaoke gig in KoP is picking up a little. Last week's "Trivi-oke" was augmented by a group of Reunion Revellers from UMHS. It was fun. I'm glad Scott now has a storage unit locally. The only problem is that I have to get the gear back into storage by 8am on Friday morning, so that he can pick it up for HIS Friday night gig at Price Lanes. So, I have EARLY Friday mornings for the forseeable future... *groan* I am SO not a morning person. lol.
I suppose that sums it up... boyfriend, band, birthday, karaoke... Not sure what else to mention at the moment. Life is trundling along. I'm trying to get fit. I feel all doughy and gross and lazy. Return of Turbo Jam. Seriously.
Off we go!
