Breakfast with Brent
Up bright and early this morning to have breakfast with my college friend Brent, who was in town for a job interview. We met at 8am because he had a morning flight out of SFO. His sister and our friend Denia joined us for a delicious meal at Meal Ticket. It was good seeing Brent again and catching up. I hope he gets the job because it seems like one he's really excited about. I think he's also somewhat sick of living in DC.
It was our first time at Meal Ticket. The food was tasty, but definitely with a cajun/creole slant so lots of fish on the brunch menu. I'm not a big fan of meat in the morning, but I didn't want to pay the same amount of money for traditional eggs and potatoes as I could for fish, so I ended up getting one of their specials of the day: oyster poboy sandwich. It was well made but I really should have gotten something different that early in the morning...
