All Alone Tonight

Jul 07, 2007 00:32

So I've been meaning to hang out with my roommates since we've hardly seen each other this week. But Florent left for a wedding this weekend and Jerome had to work tonight and will be at a wedding tomorrow. So that meant the bottle of wine I bought was going to go just to me. Sigh. At least Jerome set on a tentative date next week for the three of us to hang out and have dinner together. Maybe that would be a good night to have a party even.

Since I had to finish a whole bottle myself, this ended up being a pretty unproductive night. I watched Lucky Number Slevin, which wasn't that great. If you've seen enough "edgy" movies lately, you know that there has to be some twist, in which case all the "subtle" clues become obvious. As a result, the plot didn't surprise me and beyong that there's not much to say about the movie. The talents of Ben Kingsley and Morgan Freeman go untapped and Josh Hartnett is unconvincing in his role (those quips in the beginning don't suit him). 6/10.
