Remixed!

Jan 08, 2011 22:55

Author: Originally Chibi-chan but, I'm kind of giving it a sequel; so it mine!
Pairing: Riku/OC
Rating: PG-13
Notes: She wrote it for me because I'm having a shitty time at university. And I really wanted something to make me feel better. She's an awesome friend and I honestly don't know what I would do without her. Thanks so much for always being there.
Prompt: Hero
Author's Notes: So this is not super fluffy but I'll be damned if it isn't close. Anyways, the OC is a character that both Chibi and I have used for a long time. That and I love her very much. Its much nicer then anything else I have been writing lately so, I hope you guys enjoy. That and this has inspired me to write a Kingdom Hearts story. So probably expect to see that up here soon. Anyways enjoy.

Days turn to months and months turned to years. But not really and not fully. Alone was never something that she dealt with well. Her red hair swished back and forth, as she paced back and forth in front of the ocean. Selphie had already left because really when Kaytie got into these types of moods there was no stopping her.

Kairi had disappeared about a few week ago. Sora, Riku and Kairi return a couple days ago and in the moment where she went and hugged Riku, everything felt like it was okay. And at that moment it had been. But it slowly [for her] became clear that they were worlds apart. It saddened her. Even Kairi was in on it, which didn't really anger her. At one point it might have but in reality it was all good.

At least it was. They all started to go to school, Riku and Sora would talk about other worlds in hushed tones and Kaytie had caught Sora doodling pictures of what looked like a sword-like key. When she asked they would promptly changed the subject or laugh it off. It wouldn't bother her, it shouldn't bother her. But it does.

And it hurts to admit it. She looks to the island that they used to play on as children. The one they pretended they could never get off of. With a lack of any idea she went to the island. Once there she heads to the tree where they use to hang, wear the star fruit grows. They all shared a piece when they were younger. Kaytie once believed in the legend, nowadays she doesn't believe so easily. She sat there until sun down.

Until the was only darkness and the stars to keep company. She pondered for a long time, about everything and anything. She pondered about Riku and what he meant to her and the others. She pondered about what the other meant to her and what she meant to them. Her bright green eyes were shinning with tears, and she hastily brushed them away.

"Kaytie?" She didn't turn, for her eyes always shone better in the moonlight. Besides, she knew who it was.

"Yeah?" She answered, glad that her voice didn't give away her current feeling. She heard the speaker walk closer, and stood behind her. He held her loosely around her waist and let his head fall into her back. Normally she would turn and hug him back, but she didn't. She continued to stare at the sky and its lovely sea of stars. He lifted his head from her back and let go of her waist, he came and sat beside her.

"Kaytie." His tone wasn't forceful but, it was meant to be heard. She turned to him and he saw the shinning of tears in her eyes; he frowned. At that moment she chose to look away but he grabbed her face and pulled it to his meeting her lips in a soft, yet passionate manner. She immediately wrapped her hands around his neck and he slid his hands down to her waist and pulled her closer.

Every emotion they had trouble telling each other was poured into that kiss; every explanation that couldn't even be whispered was poured into it. Once apart, once they caught their breaths, they stared at each other.

Until they heard wolf whistles in the background. Both turned and yelled at the whistler.

"Go away Sora!"

"SORA!" He laughed hysterically and dashed away, running as fast as he could. Riku turned to you.

"You don't mind if I go beat him up do you?" Kaytie laughed and shook her head.

"As long as you come back and we get to continue." He grinned kissed her once more and raced after his best friend. Once both boys were out of sight, Kaytie let the blush that was threatening her face earlier escape and laughed slightly.

"Sora, you are my hero for that."

~~Next day~~

She laughed hard the next day when Sora told her about his epic escape from the evil angered Riku, and laughed even harder when she told Sora that he was her hero because she thought she might have died from blushing so hard. Riku chose that moment to walk in, and heard her little confession.

He still yelled at Sora, but he winked at her and gave her his 'Kaytie-smirk'.

Needless to say, she laughed but was silenced when Riku whispered in her ear.

"I'm your hero, remember?"
