Blaalaaauuugh.
I did not sleep well last night. My neighbors were loud, and even after I got my ceiling fan revving hard enough to provide some white noise I just tossed and turned. I don't think I conked out until 5.
Of course, now I'm sleepy.
At the moment, I'm sitting in the computer lab, getting paid to write this (yessssss). I don't have a set work schedule yet, but I can clock in whenever possible I damn well feel like it.
Class number one went well. It's "Early Romantic Period," the last literature class I'll have to take (in undergrad, at least). The professor seems reasonable and the material is interesting enough.
I really want to do this lit class right. In the past, I tended to procrastinate with reading and writing (and sometimes didn't do parts of the reading at all). I already like romantic poetry; I have a feeling I'll appreciate it a lot more if I put forth the effort.
My schedule is really sweet this semester. I don't have Fridays off, but all of my classes (sans one) are in the first half of the day, with a healthy break for lunch. This means that I should have a steady work schedule, and maybe some free time in the afternoon. I'm hoping this will turn out to be a less stressful layout. More importantly, I'll be on a relatively constant eating/sleeping schedule, which'll probably do wonders for my health. But I'm just glad to have last semester's lineup behind me- having everything crammed into Tuesdays and Thursdays was not fun.
Here's what I'm taking:
ENG 450: Early Romantic Period
MSC 301: Intro to Physical Oceanography
FIN 300: Finance for Non-Business Majors
MKT 301: Marketing Foundations
CMP 496: Directing Techniques II
I should go. I gotta wolf down my packed lunch (turkey mothafuckin' sandwich) and run off to Physical Oceanography. I have no idea what the hell that class is about.
