Mmm.
As it turns out, Wednesday was my last day out for my last Winter Break.
I had a meeting with the head of MGM's film production department (who informed me that MGM is a dead end for future employment- the company's up for sale.)
Then I grabbed lunch, almost got in a car crash, and hung around Michael's house for a few hours.
Then Jirard and I had an Ari & Stone music meeting with Tom, the series' musical director. He's fucking great, I can't wait to work with him.
Then Jirard, Michael and I went out for dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. Not only was our waitress hot (and hilarious- she quipped "Now I'm old!" while clearing my delayed dishes, complete with an old-lady hunch), but it was a fan-fucking-tastic meal. I know it's just another four month block, but I'm really gonna miss those guys this time.
barrytelium and
jbsupabadass11, you rawk mah sawks.
Thursday was worse. I felt kind of lousy in the morning as I joined the fam in our annual tradition of donating blood to Torrance Memorial Hospital. I felt a bit weak afterward (which is normal), and kept feeling worse as the day wore on (which is not).
I'd meant to do a lot of things that day, but I felt so crappy I was confined to my bed.
I had no appetite by dinner, and after eating a few pieces of toast I felt even worse.
I went to bed at 9 (something I'd only do while sick), and woke up at 1 feeling nauseous. Luckily I didn't throw up.
Today was spent taking care of some last-minute business.
I felt a little better as the hours passed, and by dinnertime I felt a little hungry. So I guess it was a 24-hour stomach bug.
That's good, 'cause it left me able to enjoy my farewell dinner with the family at one of my favorite restaurants: The Red Onion!
Now I'm packing up and backing up (my computer, to my external hard drive). Barry and I leave for the airport at 8 tomorrow this morning, I should probably finish soon and go to bed.
I can't believe my last lengthy break from school is over.
I sure hope this final semester doesn't suck.
