I took TDK apart into his 3 main sections to finish up assorted details:

I trimmed down the upper part of the neck assembly tonight, and did a test assembly with leis as the neck rings. The struts still need to be finished, but I have time for that tomorrow night.

Saturday I started work on the patterns for the bamboo slat cladding for the shoulder section. I also decided to build a friend.

The next big job was building the canvas underlayer for the grass skirt. The result is a combination of petticoat and corset technology:
