Okay.
SO i finished the Half Blood Prince.
and I have a few things to say.
1. Who on Earth could possibly think that Snape killed Dumbledore out of evil? Dumbledore would NEVER plead for his life. NEVER. He has said in so many ways, at so many opportunities, that death is hardly the worst thing that can happen to a person. He was pleading for Snape to kill him. Put him out of the suffering that the potion had caused. AND- um, they're both occulemens-- RIGHT? anyone else catch the pause between them before Snape cursed him? HELL-OOOO!? Dumbledore was explaining why it had to be that way. Snape didn't have that look of disgust on his face because he despised the headmaster, he had it because of the deed he knew he had to do. Which is why he was so upset when Harry called him a coward- He had just made one of the biggest sacrafices he would ever make.
2. Ron and Hermione? can they just please get together? Please? do we have to play this out for yet ANOTHER book? 'Cause I"m pretty sure anyone with half a brain figured out the chemistry between them by the second book. Fuck. SO MAD I have to wait another thousand years before the next book comes out and they finally hook the eff up. <- this right here is actually my biggest source of frustration with the book.
3. Can Harry refuse to return to Hogwarts? 'Cause I would cry just for that. He can't be an Auror if he doesn't get the proper training by finishing school and his N.E.W.T.S... and if he doesn't have a career out there waiting for him when the series ends... well that pretty much makes me sure that he's going to bite the dust in the end. Especially 'cause he has now sealed himself off from having any more romantic interests.
4. His move on Ginny? How he just threw his arms around her and kissed her? I'm totally not a Ginny/Harry shipper, but dammit, that was awesome.
God I wish someone I knew would be done with the book.
oh, and yeah... so tah-dah! haven't updated in too long...
