really, really into this ♥ i really loved the original fic but this is just as breathtaking!

jessica’s such a barbie doll and while she’s not exactly the most vulnerable character here, she’s so human, with her confusion and her quiet pain. i really like how her interaction with krystal played out as well - especially the kiss which isn’t really romantic or sexy or anything, it’s actually kind of awkward but enlightening in a way that i would expect in real life. and that ending!!! their sister dynamic is so great, because while they're still awkward with the distance in all, and they get frustrated with each other, they still stick by each other like sisters usually do and care abt each other ♥ ♥ so so great

i was so excited when i saw which fic you picked because it's one of my favorite drabbles and oh my god!!!!!!!! i think the best ficmixes are the ones that add a layer of depth to the original story and you definitely did that here. jessica is vulnerable here in a way that she wasn't in the first one because she's the narrator now, which makes the story so much more complex - i love that you took a single line about emergency makeup and transformed it into a part of jessica's life that krystal knows nothing about and that completely changes her perception of her sister and their relationship. i feel like the last two scenes are the first steps to them becoming best friends as well as sisters, which is such a great, positive expansion to the original. thank you so much for the remix, i really love it!

this is so heartbreaking, but the hopeful ending helped to unbreak my heart. i really love all the little vivid details you put in to set the scene; they were so realistic i could picture everything happening in my head. this will definitely be a fic i think about even a while after reading it. good job!
