Title: Cuddling and Grooming
Rating: PG
Pairing(s)/Focus: Seungho/Victoria
Length: 738
Summary: Seungho is just a bit too fat, and he’s a bit too sleepy all the time, but his love for picking fights with the younger cats make up for that. Victoria, a young Chinese White, doesn’t count though - he likes to sleep next to her, curled up, with Victoria curled around him.
Warnings: None that I can think of

The yowls roused Victoria from sleep. With a small huff at being disturbed from a dream of tormenting a rather chubby mouse, she blinked and stretched first her lithe front legs and then her back legs. Finished with a satisfying back arch, she glanced around for the source of disturbance. The growls, screeches, and hisses seemed to be somewhere around the corner of the building where she'd found a delightful patch of sunshine and a nice stair rail just her width to stretch out on for a nap.
A cat nap, of course.
Her whiskers twitched a bit in amusement as she took a moment to groom a patch of her white fur mussed during her rest. With an easy grace, she walked along the rail until she could peek around the corner. Of course it would be him causing all that racket. Making the younger cats prove their mettle and disciplining them. She shook herself in a mixture of disgust and amusement.
Seungho was just a bit too fat, by the standards of other local cats. Sleek and well-muscled being the popular preference, yet Seungho still managed to lead most of them - in spite of what they might prefer. She wondered how he did it. He always seemed a bit too sleepy, but still he seemed to love picking fights with the younger cats. Maybe that was how he managed to be leader of otherwise un-leaderable cats. His sleepy tendency and slightly ponderous size made other cats underestimate him. Then he would put the smack down on the little upstarts.
It was effective and impressive.
Leaping off the rail, she sauntered closer to the tussle - cat fight, haha - and sat near the wall, out of the way of potential wild paws and bared teeth. The younger was smooth gray with a lanky build and wicked green eyes. With a swish of the gray's tail, he proved to, in fact, be a he.
Another tom trying to take over. Or maybe just trying to prove his badassness to some other cat. Maybe a cute female. Victoria narrowed her yellow-green eyes as Seungho swatted lazily but hissed violently. The gray yowled and jumped at Seungho's head. In a move that seemed impossible for a cat of his bulk, Seungho slid sideways and then pounced on the gray's back. Thirty seconds later, the gray lay on his back with his throat in Seugho's mouth, held immobile under Seungho's weight.
With a mew and tilt of his chin, the gray male surrendered. Seungho let loose one last growl - a warning - before allowing the gray to rise. With a disdainful sniff and tail flick, the gray ran off around the corner of the building where Victoria had come from. Seungho meowed mockingly before sitting in the grass to groom his ruffled fur.
Victoria smelled blood and mewed softly. Seungho twitched his left ear and swished his tail lazily twice. His signal for he was fine. Approaching slowly she sniffed around him, locating a scratch just behind one ear and a bite on his right flank. Neither were very deep and seemed to be clotting already. She nuzzled his head with her chin. When he playfully swatted her face, she purred and nuzzled harder. He swatted her again. She reared up on her hunches and wrapped her front paws around his neck. Despite the discrepancy in their sizes, he allowed her to pull him onto his side to the grass.
Wrapping one leg around her chest, he submitted to her cuddling and grooming with embarrassment. And pleasure, too, if his rumbling was anything to go by. They lay like that for a time - him rumbling and her grooming. Sunshine played over them as birds sang temptingly in nearby trees. Neither fully lost track of their surroundings because doing so could mean unexpected dog or human attacks. Still they enjoyed the moment of respite from being on full alert.
Victoria was not much younger than Seungho. She was certainly smaller than the hefty marmalade older cat. She knew, though, she didn't count as one of the young upstarts. Partly because he allowed her to cuddle and groom him. Partly because he liked to sleep next to her, curled up, with Victoria curled around him.
He might be a chubby orange cat of no pedigree and she a slender Chinese White but they were each other's haven and comfort.
