(no subject)
Nothing new this weekend. Just watched a bunch of movies, hung out with friends, and had a farewell party for my volleyball teammates who are graduating. Given that they are taking off for college and a new batch will be coming in, I think I may call volleyball quits. I find that I usually dread going, don't have a lot of fun while I'm there, and look forward to leaving as soon as it's over. My favorite parts are drills and clean-up. Actually playing isn't really doing much for me.
So, my friend Scotty got "dumped" this weekend. I can't really call it that though because they've just been hooking up on a semi-regular basis rather than actually being boyfriend and girlfriend. Furthermore, she always treated him like crap. When I saw how she treated him and how he took it with a grin and did everything he could to make her happy, it really hearkened back to my relationship with she-whose-name-is-not-mentioned-except-on-alternate-Tuesdays-with-fair-barometric-pressure. I really need a shorter version of that. Maybe "swoninmeoatwifabap" would be better. It kind of rolls off the tongue, right? Sounds kind of like "swim in a moat with a bat." Anyway, having been there, it was really rough to see Scotty being so completely oblivious to the fact that he deserved better than what he was getting.
So, yesterday, he was telling me that he really wished that he had listened to me and ended it after they got back from Thailand (where it started). I guess hindsight is 20/20. So, now I have the joyous mission of helping him deal with it. *sigh* Silly boy.
In other--and exceedingly better--news, I am off to Tokyo for my last time next week! I'll be there from 3/20 until 3/23 this time. A whole extra day! It's looking like Mandy and I may go to Disney Sea. I have no clue what that is, but I'm sure it'll be fun. And about two weeks after I return to Miyazu, she will be arriving in Maizuru! I'm super excited! We've been together for almost 20 months, and 14 months of that has been long-distance. Ack!
And now for an experiment. I will try writing a little of the above in Japanese just to get some practice. For those of you who read this and can understand that crazy moon language, feel free to offer corrections.

今週の金曜日と土曜日と日曜日は新しくなかった。映画を見たり友達と会ったりバレーボールのパーテイーに行ったりした。バレーボールがまだ遊びたいじゃない。つまらない。
僕の友達スコットと彼の彼女べつになんだ。いいです。彼女は彼によくない。
来週に東京に行く。マンッヂと三日うかがう。ディズニーシーに行く。二週に宮津にかえたあとでかのじょは西舞鶴に動く引っ越す。ぼくはとてもうれしい。
So, yeah, that was so much shorter than the rest, but it took me a solid 10 minutes and now I'm exhausted. Blarg. It gets the gist, I hope.
