Waiting for Godot

this has been a crazy ass week, but I've had a lot of fun. I think that, despite the looming day of reckoning with the financial aid office, I'm really positive about this year and not just because I have to be (like last year).

I'm still kind of iffy on rush; I feel like I don't know what I'm doing and Brandy's not being supportive at all so where the hell are we supposed to turn? I'm waiting for the bitchy e-mail back to the one I sent saying I have to be at set strike on Sunday, which I do. I'm not trying to get out of House Retreat, it's important because we suck ass right now, but I do have to be at set strike and there's no way I'm going to bail on Liz and the theatre because of Brandy.

OK, so part of it is that I want to see the CUP show, but you know that's only a small part of it.

Joey Miller, once again, is the man. He's tivoing "Saved" and "The Closer" for me, which is muy exciting! Take that mom and your stupid cable!

She taunted me.

Anyway, back to the positive about this year.

I talked to Cookie this morning and she said that I could switch around a couple classes I've taken to fulfill minor requirements, which means I've only 2 applied hours left to have my minor over and done with, and those hopefully won't be hard to get, especially with JC: Superstar on the docket.

I then went and talked to Bigelow about grad school options and how my hear is looking and he said that I seemed much more together this year. It's encouraging to hear professors say that, especially one as tough as Bigelow. He also said that I reminded him of himself in college, which I take as a big compliment because he's incredibly respected in academic circles (as I found out in my correspondence with UT lady) and generally respected as a good professor by the students as well.

I'm going to apply for a Masters program next year, I think, and give myself this year to get back on my feet academically after a tough couple few years, and have my senior paper to show in my writing samples.

I have to talk to them about the overload business, and try to figure out what the hour equivalency is because I don't want to pay more per hour just because they changed the curriculum and won't let me switch to the new one; if I could take 17 hours on 3 hour classes before, I want that to apply to my schedule during the application of new hours as well if that makes sense.

Other than that, we've just been jamming out to 90's tunes and doing all sorts of fun Real Rhodes stuff. India, Shannon and I spray painted the set to day, so our names are all on it in graffiti and Liz seemed really pleased and surprised when they came in today.

Me, I'm just happy that we have the word "Skeet" written on our set and I'm the one who put it there.

and on that note, I'll close for the evening. And remind you that I'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony, I'd like to buy the world a Coke and keep it company.
