OK, so I'm watching the World Cup and trying not to be ADD since I'm by myself, so I decide that my player of the game, Zidane, gets a Wiki visit.
I head over there and think, "Hey, I've never done the Wiki thing before, I'll edit this and add on that he scored the first goal, the shoulder injury, etc."
I edit that. They go to OT. They go to more OT. Then Zidane head-butts Materazzi and gets thrown out. I go to edit and someone else has. I go to edit that to put in "Marco Materazzi" instead of "an Italian player" and someone's already edited the other edit. All I want to do is edit trivia so it says:

They all get bitchy and it goes to:

And I'm like, "Guess what, we're all editing, and it's just Wikipedia..." and edit in my paragraph above over that a second later.
They get in to such a pissing contest that an administrator comes through and deletes all recent posts by non-members and I have to wait four days (just registered) to post any more Wiki articles, especially on Zidane.
Is it just me or is that the most ridiculous thing ever to get pissed about? My guess is they're a couple of pissy freshman frat boys.
The funny thing about the Zidane headbutt is that I'd just finished reading the article which mentioned that he'd done the same thing in another match and that he'd gotten a red card in the WC before for running over a Saudi player.
