Aida Translation

Nov 12, 2007 18:23

I finally got un-lazy and translated another song from Aida. Could probably use some edits...and I'll probably add romanji later...but yeah I don't feel like it right now

You Are a Slave

Ubaldo: I saw it

Aida: Saw what?

Ubaldo: He gave you a ring and you were truly happy.

Aida: You saw it? I didn’t take it!

Ubaldo: I know

Aida: What!

Ubaldo: Your heart! You’re attracted to that man!

Aida: That man you say…what about that man!

Ubaldo: Day by day you become a lowly slave
You beg for mercy, you depend on his mercy
Without his pity you can’t live as a simple slave!

Aida: You’re wrong!

Kamante: Princess Aida

Aida: Kamante!

Kamante: Now you aren’t the princess you once were.

Aida: What are you saying!

Kamante: Are you sad now?

Aida: Sad?

Kamante: You were a strong, courageous woman!

Aida: I…I haven’t changed a bit

Kamante: Day by day you become his slave
You dodge war, you’re afraid of war
Single-mindedly groveling only to live as a slave!

Aida: Stop! Stop it, stop!

Sauf: Princess,…please I beg you…

Aida: Sauf…you too?

Sauf: Please change back to your old self

Aida: Until now you were so kind

Sauf: Please give me power…

Aida: Power?
Sauf: The power to fight detestable Egypt

Aida: That’s something I can’t do!

Men: Changed! Changed!

Ubaldo: You’ve changed!

Men: Changed! Changed!

Ubaldo: Changed to a slave!

Ethiopians: Changed! Changed!
You’ve (You’ve) changed!
Changed! Changed! Changed to a slave!

Ubaldo: You and I…are different!

Fatma: Aida-sama, please don’t forget that you are a princess.
