Ganabarani
This week's Ganabaranai was all about the current discussions and upcoming changes to take place to the Japanese health care system, especially how it helps the elderly. Right now the health care system is seriously in the red because the government doesn't have the funds to back it up as well anymore and they're trying to lessen that loss.

Ki ni naru
This week's Ki ni naru followed two girls who work as flight attendants for JAL (Japan Airlines). They are not only flight attendants, but players on the JAL pro woman's basketball team "JAL Rabbits". However that basketball team will be  ended at the end of this season. So the girls have to decide whether to stay with JAL and quit basketball, or quit JAL and find a different basketball team to join.

When Koyama went to visit the JAL Rabbits practicing, all the locker room lights were turned off to save electricity (and money) because the team was at the moment only using the gym. Koyama noticed that there were banners all over the gym from fans cheering the team on, some which said "Thank you".

Koyama interviews one of the girls, asking her how she felt when she heard this would be the team's last season. She said it was a shock but she hopes that they can do well this year for all the fans that have supported them for so long. The team was originally formed in 1980.

To save money, JAL has been cutting back on a lot of things and this team is one of them. Even going into their last season they have several members cut.

The other member interviewed had been playing on the team for 11 years. In general they are all grateful to have been able to enjoy both work and basketball for so long.

Sadly the JAL Rabbits aren't doing well this season, and have lost 9 times to their 1 single win. The season ends next March.

Koyama asked the two girls who work as flight attendants what they plan to do next spring. Quit JAL and find basketball work somewhere else? Or stay with JAL and quit basketball?

Both said they weren't sure yet. For now they want to do their best this season and see how they feel at the end of the season.
