Writing!
I'm actually writing a bit. And not for forum rp. For some reason I've had the urge to just write lately. So today I decided that I wanted to start work on that bad series novel idea I'd been semi-joking about: the Urban Fantasy in the vein of Anita Blake/Southern Vampries/Dresden Files, but with Faeries. And fairies. BA-DUM-TISH.
I got a whole page of planning, generally stamping out the basic scenes I thought I would need, and I got three/fourths of it outlined with world-building notes all strewn about. That's one reason I would want it to be Urban Fantasy: it's easy. Also I only got three-fourths done because I would rather have started writing. So I did. I've only got a page, but I think it's going fair so far. And it's just the first draft. I don't think it will have sex, though, because I'm honestly not good at writing it. But I can take notes from writers better than myself, I just need to find a voice for my own writing, and a voice for my main character.
It's a nice feeling to write and not be stupidly blocked. I don't know how long it will last, but I fully intend to milk it for all its worth. Maybe I can get published and write trashy romancy Urban Fantasy to pay my bills. (Lol right.)
