Heh, the title speaks for itself...
I went over to a party yesterday. But not just ANY party. It was Dan Roebucks party. He's an actor in monster movies and whatnot and he's a realllly swell guy. Him and his other monster friends kicked it up at his place with a good friendly BBQ, and i was lucky enough to be invited through Laurens parents. Thanks a lot Mr. and Mrs. Tharp!
The highlights of the party were of course the people! Scott Spiegle (i'm unsure if that's how you spell it but)was there and he played a role in Spider-Man 2 (which included him stealing that slice of pizza off of a rooftop when SpiderMan had to rescue that girl from getting hit by the bus)that I thought was just awsome. And Uncle evil was there, he's some cool looking (and quite tall) Raj A Guul (an antagonist in Batman) kinda of guy. lol. He told me that there are a lot of ''eyes'' on me right now and i better make sure i take good care of Lauren...or else. lol, the thing that scares me most is that these guys grew up on monster stuff, so they have a pretty good idea of what they could do to me i.e. Rip me up with a chainsaw, crush my head with a Sledgehammer etc etc. heh. Sounds silly, but O_O ya never know, j/k! The main man in the group, of course, was Dan Roebuck. This guy was just awsome. He's got a completely wonderful character and he's funny too. I think he's grown pretty fond of me for the first time i met him.He thinks i'm a nice fellow and i think the same way about him. He's cool. Yep.
On the other hand, his daughter Grace enjoyed throwing oranges and ice at me. Whenever she wasn't doing that, she was wapping my butt. When she wasn't doing that either, she was hitting me with pool noodles and ordering me around lol. She was a cute little girl though. She ended up liking me at the end. I think...Nice kid though.
The garage where Dan kept his collection of monster memrobilia was amazing though! I was sooo impressed! Never had i seen such a collection! I mean, this guys garage was like a monster junkies wildest dream! I'm not joking when i saw Breath-taking. This guy had practically every single monster mask from every horror movie! Dracula, Frankenstien, The Fly, Phantom of the Opera, Monster from the Black Lagoon, Monster from La Piedras Blancas, and more! Simply just way too cool.
Not to mention they had a great big pool, and so i was invited in to. Only thing that bothered me was that i was half-naked in front of a crowd of rich people. lol, it felt rather awkward just swimming around in some rich guys pool, but...i was invited to do so, so, i had lots of fun there too, regardless of all the rich eyeballs watching me. Heh, they actually weren't watching me at all.
Meanwhile, the BBQ was just plain delicious. Did i mention his burger patties taste fantastic? I mean...just terrific! Who would've thought some seasoning would do such a great job! And the suasages he cooked were great too. The food was awsome, and i was lucky enough to figure out what kind of apetizer they had on the kitchen table. It looked like a mix of egg yolk honey and cinnomon. Instead, Lauren tried some and couldn't figure out what it was, so she asked me to try some. I did, and i thought, "this tastes like melted Brie" and it was! The tomato mousse was fantastic too! The Roebucks really knew how to cook. Great stuff! Good work, and thanks a lot Dan!
We all ended the day off by drying off and going back home. But not before i hung out at Laurens house for a little bit, then took off to my house afterwards.
All n' all i had a Wonderful time. It was just great to see all those new people and i'd love to try it again.
Useless fact of the day: Laurens Ac went haywire cause we gave off so much heat that day!
