UMass was closed today on account of power outages and general tree carnage, I guess. But Maria asked for and got permission for me to take the second written from home. Had my second meeting with my advisor yesterday. She raked me over the coals on one topic (in the good way; it'll be in better shape going forward, plus it's shaping up to be rather SF-heavy, so yay!) and announced that the second one would get me a job.
