Reenactment, Day Two!

Nov 01, 2008 18:30

Let's see, finished the bonnet (at last!) bought earrings, bought a brooch that broke as soon as I got home but was very easy to fix, bought two pairs of new gloves, was disappointed that the tintype photographer wasn't there (why!?) and had an overall relaxing time. We didn't get around to our picnic yet. Tomorrow. When I wear the blue and grey dress :)

Working on the bonnet. And Pellegrino is almost period! It says 1899 right on the bottle :)

Same from the back. Funny story. Yesterday I was looking at the fat corset laces I had in my corset and remembered I had to change them because you could see them with this dress. I was putting the corset on, and pop, the lace broke. So I have a nice new thin lace now, borrowed from the spoon busk corset :)

Sarah continuing her sontag.

My dress.

Tying my bonnet on.

Checking my bonnet.

The back. Yay! Wind!

Back again :)

Sarah's lovely plaid dress, copied from a CDV.

Robert Land shoes :)

We quite enjoyed talking with them :)

Hoops!

Obama :)

Yes, Obama again. It's almost the election, so yes, I'm sharing. And taking my 19 year old cousin to vote on Tuesday. Her instructions will be ABSOLUTELY NO TALKING IN THE CAR as it'll be 4:30, yes, 7:30 east coast time, when I pick her up and I will be glued to NPR and wishing for my internet :)

Setting up the tea

AM I REALLY THAT SHORT???

The pecan tarts and cranberry orange scones we brought from Whole Foods. Neither of us ate at at tea. We knit and bonnet made!

An excellent Mr. Lincoln :)

Sarah stood on the table to take this picture. The crowd went wild over her shoes :)

My new earrings :)
