So this week has been hecka busy.
Monday: Catering at work, then headed to the Terra Cotta Warrior exhibit with Mom and David. We got told no cell phones, no pictures, and no touching. You put me a mere three feet away from Chinese History-two of my absolute favorite combinations in the world-and tell me not to touch or photograph! Surprisingly I restrained myself and none of us got kicked out of the exhibit. I hihgly recommend people go see this.
Tuesday: just work. Should have been glad, but it was work. And I was trying to prepare for Wednesday and Thursday caterings.
Wednesday: Went in early by about 2 hours. Left work at about 5 or 6 pm. Day full of caterings and yet somehow we got through everything.
Thursday: Catering again. Is it Friday yet? I came home from work, packed, did some errands, changed the oil in my car (finally!), hung out with David for a bit, and then went to bed.
Friday: THANK YOU GOD!!! Three day weekend. David and I left Angleton around 9 AM. Made it into Austin around 12:30. Hung out with Ben and Karen for a bit, before we all got changed and headed out to dinner at Sao Paulo's. DELICIOUS food. Then we went to the UT campus, took pictures, headed into the theatre and watched Wicked.
Saturday: Touring Austin. Went to Mozart's for coffee!! Nice place. Then toured the Capital building. Headed back to the house. Ben and Karen went to a dinner with her family and David and I found a California Pizza Kitchen in Austin (which is almost ironic). Had dinner, walked around, got lost in Austin trying to find a Wal-Mart (we totally blame his GPS), then went to the house where we met up with Ben and Karen again. Visited for a bit, then we all went to bed.
Sunday: Breakfast with Ben and Karen, before they left for church and we left to go to San Antonio. We met up with David's cousins at Mi Tierra in Market Square. Had a nice lunch and they led us to the Riverwalk and the Alamo before they had to leave to go to work. David and I took the Alamo tour-though I was the tour guide (first time in San Antonio)! Then we took the Riverwalk back, but before we reached our destination, he and I stopped on a bridge that crossed the river, and he proposed to me! I said "Yes!"
So now I'm engaged. We got in the car and headed home. Stopped to eat a Cracker Barrell in Katy (we took I-10 coming in and 290 going out). So now, I'm engaged. I don't know if I'll stop squeeling and smiling when I say that!
