Number Post!!!
I'm finally updating this! And no, the four horsemen of the apocolypse aren't swooping in. But this is going to be a number post just to get you caught up with things.
1. Catering on July 18th--> during this one, which David helped at, he and I were able to cross one potential wedding venue off our list. The owner/planner was crappy and the entire thing ended up being a diasaster. Decorations toppled, her staff was poorly trained and some were poorly dressed, she blamed a few things on the bride (such as the lack of coffee), and kept asking me about some of the food stuff. Oh and she didn't have any plates for the cake and when it started storming outside, the male guests and my two employees had to help put up the tarps around the pavilion to help keep the guests dry.
And when we sent the food inside with the guests, she sent it right back out, even though there was a tornado warning. Then after the food was gone, she started bitching about the lack of food and asked me why we ran out. So I told her that the bride has only paid for so many portions and we brought the said amount of portions-plus a little extra and it wasn't my fault if the guests were told to help themselves and did so for an hour and a half! She then freaked because she hadn't gotten the bride and groom a plate-so I assured her, that a few guests and I had made them a plate and then one of my employees had. And since the food was gone, we were packing up and going home.
We are now going to try and avoid that place for as long as we can. Marc doesn't want to get near it with a 10 foot pole.
2. The week after that I was diagnosed with being short of breath and exhausted. Took a day off of work to recover-which really didn't work. And now I'm right back in my same spot.
3. Saw Tenshi and Hino a little bit ago. They came into town. Katie joined us, then David joined us for dinner in Pearland. It was good to have the girls back in town. But all good things always come to an end. Hino had to leave the next day or so to go back to work and I didn't see Tenshi the rest of the time she was in town. Oh well.
4. Saw Katie today. We went out to lunch together, since she was in town. We just talked and ate.
5. Otherwise I've been keeping busy with work, family, and friends. There's been a lot of stress at home, so I've been spending more time with David or with Mandy and Jorge. Although Paige is keeping me pretty busy as well.
6. Saw District 9 the other day. GREAT movie. Loved it.
And now it's on to chores. boohiss!
