Day 19: Best Dressed
Ugh, I'm so tired of this Playstation wank. :|
Day 19 - Best Final Fantasy outfit.
This is a really bad question to ask me. But, I'll answer it. (Be prepared to laugh at my sense of style, haha.)
I'm going to start by dividing this into two: girls and boys. Then I'll break it down a little more from there. Expect to see some surprises in here! (Maybe.)
Prettiest Dress: Garnet (FFIX) & Terra (FFVI)
I adore this dress. It's absolutely beautiful. Like I told Toffee once, I actually wanted to recreate this dress for my own wedding dress, but the budget was too tight. All the same, it's still gorgeous and I one day want to wear it and feel pretty. :)
Alright, so the girl should probably put on some pants--fact. But I love her dress so much. The flowers, the pink, the accessories--perfect. I may not be a huge Terra fan, but I wish I could run around in that all day.
Cutest Outfit: Yuffie (FFVII:AC) & Lilisette (FFXI)
Yuffie's outfit in Advent Children was adorable. I wish they would've kept it in DoC, but... whatever. She came a long way, I guess that's what matters. ♥
I love Dancer AF (that's part of the reason I leveled the job... even if I only got it to 66, it was enough to wear that AF!), and I love Lilisette's earring and hairpiece. She's just so cute! And the frills of the DNC outfit give her a very feminine touch that would be hard to come by otherwise, especially with her rough exterior personality. (Let's just say she's a lot like Prishe.)
Exotic Beauty Outfit: Rydia (FFIV:TAY) & Aphmau (FFXI) & Penelo (FFXII:RW)
I've always loved Rydia's outfit from IV, and the sequel made it even prettier. With such little clothing, it's no surprise she can't take damage well, but at least she looks pretty. Besides, who cares what a summoner wears anyway. =P
I wanted to find a full-body shot, but I couldn't find one online and it'd take quite some time to get where I could take a screenshot of it on XI. So here's the top half at least! I think Aphmau is adorable, especially in her Royal Puppetmaster get-up. The white may burn your eyes at times, but it's pretty. x)
I'm an absolute sucker for this outfit. Maybe because it's a style I prefer, and maybe because it's such a huge step up from her XII appearance. Either way, I love it!
Coolest Outfit: Lightning (FFXIII)
What can I say? I love Light's outfit. It's so badass! And yet it also has a tiny bit of femininity with the skirt and the flowing red cape, and the form-fitting-ness. It's just lovely~
And now for the boys! This will be a little harder, I think...
Sharpest Dressed: Luzaf (FFXI) & Carvallain (FFXIV)
Just look at those fine clothes! They're so sharp. Snazzy--sexy--awesome.
Such a good-looking man. Ironically (or not), both of these guys are pirates. Very well-dressed pirates. :]
Best in Leather: Sephiroth (FFVII:CC) & Squall (Dissidia)
Let's face it: Sephiroth is everyone's black-leather-clad dream. He's just so sexy. I don't think there's anyone who can deny that. It's not like his mental state affects his hotness, after all (until you realize that he's just a head and torso encased in materia by the end of it... but, well, details.) And, if you notice, SE never messes with that signature outfit because they know how hot it is. I agree, SE. I agree.
If there is one thing I appreciate about Squall, it's his outfit. And the fact that he seems to have a thing with taking off his gloves with his teeth (in most fanart). He may be pretty low on my male-totem-pole, but when it comes to appearance he jumps ahead in the ranks. I just... That leather!
Best in Heavy Armor: Warrior of Light (Dissidia) & Kain (FFIV)
The two on the right are my favorite. WoL's CG still looks strange to me, but besides that he is all kinds of man. Usually I don't care much for armored guys, but you just can't deny the WoL.
I'm just going to admit: Kain is half of the reason I bought FFIV years ago for the DS (Rydia being the other half), because I was leveling DRG in FFXI and everyone was talking about how the DRG-specific gear was based off of Kain's outfit. "I like my DRG," I thought, "so I must check this out!" Of course I didn't get very far back then (and still haven't), but I can see the minor similarities and I love dragoons so~ *_* (For reference, here's the DRG AF2 set... I guess... It's purple?)
Best in Light Armor: Bartz (Dissidia) & Locke (FFVI)
I may be the only person in the world who thinks this, but I find Bartz's outfit to be incredibly cute. And a little hot. Okay, pretty damn cute and hot. Plus his CG render is adorable. I want to pinch his cheeks and hug him! So cute, so cute~ *_*
Zebra print and all, I really love Locke's amano outfit. I wish he was in Dissidia so we could see it done more justice (like in the case of Bartz), but I'll content myself with this I guess. :]
Most Badass: Rufus+The Turks (FFVII:AC) & Auron (FFX)
I would have put these guys up above but I figured they fit into a "badass" category better. I've always enjoyed Rufus's sense of style, and how well-dressed the Turks are for their job. Even Reno. ♥
Like I said before, age and death won't keep me from loving Auron. Or his outfit. I think it holds up pretty well for all the wear and tear, and the fact that a dead guy's wearing it. =P But it also makes him look menacing and fierce! And dark... mmm... :Q
