EMOTIONAL BRAIN DAMAGE: PHONES ARE EVIL
Soooo, today was...interesting....
As you may or may not have known already, I am in the process of trying *key word* to get a job. At Baskin Robbins. I got the application a while ago, turned it in two weeks ago, and have been waiting for them to call.
Well, they didn't, so I called them today. Which was NOT easy. I have phone issues, I hate and despise them, and I was quite nervous because I actually really really want a job and they hadn't called so I figured that they had thrown my application into the trash. And, well, who would blame them, cause I have really NO work experience except for some community service.
ANYWHO, the phone call: They said "Um, yeah, we're only hiring guys right now" and then "Okay, bye" and hung up. (is that even legal?)(sex discrimination?) And I am officially even more scarred for life by phones. AND the fear of rejection just SKYROCKETS.
BUT then later this afternoon I got a call from a different person and they said that they had made a mistake and then they asked me some questions and THEN they asked if I could come in for an interview tomorrow! So I have an interview.
But what if they're just asking me so I won't sue and they really have no intention of hiring girls...
I guess I'll find out...
