Kimi is doing fine. She's probably doubled in size, and she's teething now. She sleeps all day, and then is active during the early morning, and around dusk. She loves digging so much it's ridiculous, and Juu bought her a crinkly plush toy that is literally shaped like the rear half of a fox. When playing with her, we tell her "get that fox butt!" which is hilarious.
I've been in a funk for the last week or so, but it seems to have come to a head yesterday and I'm better now. Apparently all I needed was a physical outlet at work, and to know that I have an enemy. Whatever works, I guess. It gave me ideas for a kinkmeme fill that I'm writing, anyway.
Right now I'm just sort of floating around, thinking. It's a nice feeling.
I've decided that in the next 10 years, unless situations change, I want to live in the Serenbe community near Atlanta, Georgia. HGTV is having a win-a-home contest there for their annual Green Home Sweepstakes, and it's all very lovely. But I love the community. The only thing I would change is more cultural diversity, but that's a larger problem that I can't do much about in regards to property choices. Still, it's a very nice community. I'll watch it and see how it turns out over the next few years, since it's a pretty new community.
But for right now... I harvested some fragrant strawberries from my garden and I'm waiting for the snap peas to ripen. The fig tree has at least 20 fruits on it. I'm sitting here drinking some Teavana tea in my cute fox cup with some lemon and local honey from the farmer's market.
Life is good for right now. In this moment.
