So as you guys know, I've been in the U.S. for the past month, and I've been waffling on my decision to return to Korea at the end of August. Well, I'm going to drop the bomb (why am i even using that expression when talking about Korea??) on live journal before I take it to myspace: I'm going back.
I found a job that has nearly everything I want: increased pay, good location just two subway stops away from the beach, single apartment with A/C, good hours (3-9:30 pm) , no weekends, and I'll be the only foreign teacher at my school (this is a plus bc directors usually expect less of you when you're the only one). The vacation days seem a little fishy right now, but with everything else looking so good, I can deal with that.
So....Katie will be off to Korea again on August 30th. It was a blast (damn those frickin bomb references again) hanging out with those of you I got to see, and those I didn't get to see, I'm sorry! I'll catch you next year, when I will hopefully be staying somewhere in the U.S. for good. So get ready for another year of my sporadic telling of the ups and downs of living in a crazy Asian country.
P.S. I feel that I must add a disclaimer here that my decisions are never final until they are irreversible, meaning that I am on a plane. So if, come August 31st, I write saying that, oh, actually, I'm still in the U.S., don't hold it against me! I have a right to change my mind, damnit.
